The 1995/96 batch of the Faculty of Science at the University of Peradeniya initiated a fundraising campaign in response to the recent disaster affecting the university. Through the collaborative efforts of 160 alumni from across the globe, Rs. 1.408 million was raised for the Faculty of Science Development Fund. This contribution is intended to address resource deficits resulting from increased student enrolment and post-disaster circumstances, thereby enhancing facilities and supporting the restoration of academic standards. The batch also encourages fellow alumni to participate in ongoing efforts focused on stabilizing and enhancing the university.
