Marrs Hall Project - Building a Motorcycle Shed
Marrs Hall, one of the oldest residential halls in University of Peradeniya houses nearly 240 male undergraduates. The vast majority of residents in the hall over the past decade have been medical and dental students. Most of the students possess motorcycles as they need to attend clinical sessions at the nearby teaching hospitals.
Background & Proposal
The hall possesses a line of garages, currently dilapidated, leaving the students with no area for parking their motorcycles.
Ramanathan Hall Project COMPLETED
This project has been successfully completed with funding from the Western Australia Chapter.
Facility for Washing Plates in the Dining Room
Ramanathan Hall houses almost all the first-year undergraduates (around 1200) from all eight faculties. As cooking is no longer allowed inside the rooms allocated to them, students get their food from the Hall canteen and eat in the dining hall.
